Hydrofoil technology is not new, but it is certainly at the forefront for many companies looking to make their vessels even better! This was our first experience on the Tarpon River Boatworks 24' foil assisted catamaran and it definitely did not disappoint.

Besides being held to the water, the foil provides and extremely soft and fuel efficient ride. Cruising at 4 mpg will definitely make your bank account happy, not to mention offer incredible range. That was one of the most impressive differences we noticed right off the bat.

Also, that foil seems to hold the boat to the water, which doesn't allow it to fly when you hit decent chop at speed. It offers a similar benefit when the boat is descending from its highpoint, which helps it land softly every single time.
